Laverstoke Park Farm, owned by ex-Formula 1 racing driver Jody
Scheckter, required a new website to give the business greater
reliability, flexibility and even better customer service for the
farm's customers.
Phase one of the website launched in November 2011, with phase 2
scheduled for launch in January 2012.
The 'field to fork' nature of the farm's business along with the
high quality of its produce is what puts it in a completely
different league to its competition. However, its unique qualities
also meant that its previous ecommerce solution just didn't give
them the flexibility to manage their product availability and
delivery options in a way that worked with their specific business
processes, which resulted in considerable 'people time' in order to
make it fit.
The new website gives Laverstoke Park Farm far more control over
how they are selling their products and will significantly reduce
the need for manual intervention in the order process. It will also
give the entire product catalgoue better visibilty both in search
engines and for browsers of the website, increasing sales and
conversion rates.
Along with bespoke ecommerce functionality created for
Laverstoke Park Farm, the phase 2 launch will also see the
implementation of a whole new design for the farm's website, which
has been created by their in-house team, working closely with
Metakinetic's production team.
