Our printing methods cover the following:

lithographic printing

A conventional (non-digital) print process. The process works by first transferring an image to thin metal, paper, or plastic printing plates. Rollers apply oil-based ink and water to the plates. Only the inked image portion is transferred to a rubber blanket that then transfers the image onto the paper as it passes between it and another cylinder beneath the paper. This process is generally only used for a large amount of items per job.

Digital Printing

Printing processes in which information is transferred from a computer directly onto paper, without the need for film and printing plates. Digital printing is faster and more cost-effective for small/medium print runs and allows special techniques such as personalisation and printing-on-demand.

Foiling

If your looking for that little something extra we can specifically foil certain parts of your job with numerous different colours of foil in order to stand out from the crowd and other similar documents or materials it may be next to.

Lamination

Lamination allows your project to have that extra protection from the elements, a plastic film is bonded by heat and pressure to your project giving it a protective coating. This is available in matt or gloss finish.

UV (Ultra Violet) - Printing

If you wish we can highlight areas of your project by selectively applying a gloss varnish to it which makes the colour on the page more vibrant.

Perforation & Embossing

Perforation can be used to remove areas of your work in order to shape your work to your desired design. Embossing involves raising areas of a card surface above the level of the rest. The images can be made to stand out from the card as it is produced by a stamp which presses the card to the correct shape. This process can add cost to the printing process but gives the card a 3D effect.

Finishing

Once we have printed your work we can finish it to your desire this can include folding, creasing, stitching, binding and more.
